Biography

“I’m currently a Junior in Electrical Engineering. I love the complexities of computing systems, and in my last two years here, I hope to learn as much as I can about computing. However, I have also developed a great love for biology, specifically, for the field of immunology. I am part of a cancer immunotherapy lab in the School of Molecular and Cellular Biology whose research focuses on treating a mouse model of brain cancer in part through stimulating the immune system. I also spent this past summer at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences studying immunosuppression caused by glioblastoma stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles. These experiences have led me to believe that my future career will be focused on combining electrical and computer engineering with the field of immunology, and perhaps with the field of medicine. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, cooking, hiking, reading, and having a good conversation. Additionally, as a tutor I am always happy to answer any questions that students have, whether it’s related to coursework, career planning, or personal advice.”
